Among the things to ask when you are investigating home care for a loved one is whether they have a disaster plan.  Any organization that is Joint Commission Accredited will have one but most home care companies don’t strive for that level of achievement.

At BrightStar in Houston we know we know we need to have plans for a chemical disaster due to all the oil refining and processing that goes on here.  We also need to plan for nuclear and biological disasters as well as hurricanes, floods, wildfires and tornadoes.

Why do all of this?

Our patients and their families need to know that in a disaster we have a plan that includes securing the safety of our clients.
